| Pros: |
compact size
shielded nozzle |
 |
| Cons: |
claims to put out 500F heat; thermal cutoff rated at 259F, failed prematurely in one unit. Had to replace TCO in second unit. Does not work well at removing ICs from circuitboards. |

| Pros: |
Unit is small, efficient, and extremely safe. This unit works well in a demanding environment with little wear and tear. Definitely a good bang for the buck. |
 |
| Cons: |
The plastic that the bezel is made out of is too brittle and easily cracked. |
 |
| Summary: |
Definitely great for recycling boxes, removing stickers, melting low-temp glue, and drying damp surfaces in a safe manner. |

| Pros: |
Small size, built-in stand is handy. Standard cord. Seems to be well-built. |
 |
| Cons: |
Output temp is too low for me, but I really should have expected that from something this size. I also would have liked to see a 'fan only' switch position to assist in cooling the heat element for longer life. |
 |
| Summary: |
I bought this to 'replace' a large high-temp heat gun that was overkill for most of the electronic work I do (lots of shrink-wrap to do). The big gun did the job well, and very fast, but was unwieldy. This MT-50 is a great size, but the temp doesn't seem to be much hotter than your average handheld blow dryer (no, I have not measured temps). The upshot is that I have to heat the item being shrink-wrapped for a long time to get the job done. That may create problems for me later when I'm heat-shrinking some electronics devices that are heat sensitive. So looks like I'll still have to use the big gun for when I need speed. |

| Pros: |
compact ,ergogeometrically design.
versatility and unique temperature range [300-350 degrees] allows the operater better control during the vaporizing of herbs that allows full heat concentration without incinerating the plant material and preventing the inhalation carcinogens. |
 |
| Cons: |
heat build up after use could damage unit after use. Be sure to hold unit with nozzle upright and run for a minute to cool down the gun a few degrees and it wiil last much longer. |
 |
| Summary: |
Would like to see a momentary contact switch installed for the heating control with the current I/O switch for the blower allowing a cool down mode and providing the operater with a precision control over the heat ranges. |
